Welcome to my french polishers website. I learnt french polishing from my father-in-law, a self employed french polisher who worked for many years for Lloyds Bank and who learnt his french polishing skills in the piano repair trade in London before the war. I became a french polisher when I married his daughter in 1970 and have worked in Exeter, Devon for many years. Previously I worked with fibre glass, sculptural work near Farnham in Surrey. I cover a wide spectrum of work from spraying for commercial work to stripping and refurbishing furniture; traditional french polishing and restoration work for the antique furniture trade. Nothing is to large as we are a successful family run wood working business.

From preparing the surface, applying the finish, and rubbing it out to create a classic aged furniture result. My aim is to use as little material as possible to gain the most effect.
